About the Neighbors

I'm glad you found a home on Cheesy Street! I love meeting people but often proceed to divulge too much information about myself. I will probably proceed to do so on this page as well.

I've lived in many places, but the Midwest is my home. In particular, I love Omaha and the entire state of Kansas. Kansas City barbecue wins and Jayhawk nation has the best tradition in college basketball. Period.

Cartoons are still great, the old ones and the new ones. I get really excited about Christmas, ice cream, the zoo, county fairs, and amusement parks. I really like food. I love traveling, but mostly for the new food. I enjoy long-distance running for the sake of feeling good and having a goal. But sometimes I also like to have a hard run before eating a big meal, for the sole purpose of working up an appetite that allows me to eat like I'm in a fat man's eating contest. It's a trick I learned from my boyfriend, who is one of the skinniest, fastest runners I know. So it must be a good trick. If I've known you for at least a week or more, I will try food off your plate. I get very attached to people and places quickly -- it's partly because of this terrible affliction I have called nostalgia.

Great photography, music and writing makes me happy -- the kind that makes you stop breathing for a second until you say "how did they do that." I like creativity, unconventionality, and laughing. I dislike inefficiency and socks.

My guiltiest cheese pleasure is making a cheese ball in the microwave with a handful of shredded, processed parmesan in a mug. Microwave for ten seconds, roll into a spoon, cool, dab off grease, enjoy. It's a trick I learned in college from a good friend. She only used it occasionally to sate her salty cheese craving. I did it all the time. I won't pretend like it's not shameful. Some might say she turned me into a monster, but I just think I learn a lot of good tricks from other people. I told you I would divulge too much information.
